(Janke) Galow
October 15, 1873 – November 4, 1951
Ida Marie (Janke) Galow was born October 15, 1873, in Sparta Township, Chippewa County, Minnesota, the daughter of John and Austine Janke. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. On February 12, 1897, Ida and Albert Galow of Boyd, were united in marriage. To this union eight children were born, all of whom survive their mother. Mrs. Galow died November 4, 1951, after a lingering illness, at the Clarkfield Community Hospital, Clarkfield, Minnesota, at the age of 78 years and 19 days. Surviving Mrs. Galow are her seven children: Clara (Mrs. Otto Galow) of Hopkins, Minnie (Mrs. William Galow) of Appleton, Henry and William at home, Hertha (Mrs. Oscar H. Anderson) of Boyd, Theodore of Boyd, Elsie (Mrs. Oscar A. Anderson) of Minneota, Lillie (Mrs. Jay Haakenson) of Glen Lake; 29 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and many other relatives and a host of friends. Mrs. Galow was preceded in death by her husband.
