Ida M. Gilbertson was born November 16, 1874, in St. Charles, Winona County, Minnesota, the daughter of Gilbert and Sophea (Olsen) Dahl. As a young child she moved with her parents to a farm in Ten Mile Lake Township, Lac qui Parle County, Minnesota. She married John Gilbertson of the Boyd, Minnesota community on March 14, 1902. To this union six children were born: George, Erwin, Harry and Mrs. Gertie Stevens, all of Boyd, Arnold of Minneapolis and Alma (Mrs. Lawrence Oakland). Mrs. Gilbertson died March 17, 1950, at the University Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota, at the age of 75 years. Survivors include her husband, John, and her six children.
