Ida Justina Caroline Wilhelmina Marquardt, daughter of Peter Wiegers and his wife, Catherina (Lohman) Wiegers, was born May 21, 1883, in Minnesota. On June 3rd of the same year she was baptized and on March 29, 1896, she was confirmed with the class in Omro Township. On October 18, 1900, she was united in marriage to William Marquardt. Two sons and six daughters were born to this union. Mrs. Marquardt passed away on Saturday, May 6, 1961, at the Dawson Nursing Home at the age of 77 years. Left to mourn her passing are her son, Melvin of Williston, North Dakota; and two daughters: Mabel (Mrs. William Paap) of Boyd, Minnesota, and Elsa (Mrs. Melvin Peterson) of Rapid City, South Dakota; 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; two sisters: Mrs. Bertha Fenske of Wood Lake, Minnesota, and Mrs. Lizetta Oien of Boyd, Minnesota; besides a number of other relatives. Preceding her in death were her husband, one son and four daughters. IN MEMORY OF MRS.
