Huldah Marie Albertson was born on a farm, in Eden Township, Pipestone County, near Jasper, Minnesota, on December 30, 1888, to John and Anna Randine (Okie) Nelson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Eden Lutheran Church, near Jasper. In 1903, upon the death of her father, she moved with her mother, one brother and sisters to Cottonwood, Minnesota, where the family engaged in the restaurant business for a number of years. On February 2, 1916, she was married to Merle B. Albertson. In 1961 they observed their 45th wedding Anniversary. Huldah was a life long member of Christ Lutheran Church. On November 19, 1977, she became a resident of the Weiner Memorial Nursing Home at Marshall, Minnesota, and on April 19 she was transferred to the hospital for medical treatment. She passed away that evening having reached the age of 89 years, 3 months and 20 days. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers and sisters. She leaves to mourn her passing four nieces and three nephews: Mrs. Sid (Randine) Wolfe, Palm Desert, California, Mrs. Arthur (Vivian) Rickford, Portland, Oregon, Mrs. Harold (June) Gredvig, Cottonwood, Minnesota, Mrs. Arden (Ardith) Sween, Tyler, Minnesota, Burton Nelson, St. Paul, Minnesota, Donald Nelson, Eden Prairie, Minnesota, Raymond Nelson, Hills, Minnesota; other relatives and many friends.
