Obituary

Mrs. Hulda Loose, 77, died on February 3, 1987, at her Clarkfield, Minnesota, home after a short illness. Services were held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 7, 1987, from the Zion Lutheran Church of Tyro Township with Pastor Charles Simmons officiating. Organist was Kathy Jahn with special music by Alfred and Veryl Jessen, who sang "Children of the Heavenly Father," and by Marilyn Larson and Jim Boraas, who sang "Shepards Song.". The Congregational Hymn was "For Me to Live is Jesus." Casket Bearers were Delbert and Ordell Zietlow, Arnold Walter, Bill West, Merlyn Laechelt and Lloyd Kirkeby. Final Resting Place is the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Tyro Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. She was born on May 1, 1909, at Springfield, Minnesota, to Herman and Louise (Theirfeld) Zietlow. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith at Springfield. In the spring of 1913 her parents and family moved from Springfield to the Boyd, Minnesota area. In 1923 she was confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church by Rev. Luttman. On October 11, 1931, she married Leonard Loose with Rev. L. Rosin at Zion Lutheran Church officiating. They had six children. In 1975, she and Leonard moved from the farm to Clarkfield, where she lived until the time of her death. She is survived by her sons, Vernon and Arlen of Boyd, Donald and Dennis of Clarkfield; daughter Donna (Mrs. James) Boraas of Appleton, Minnesota; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and brother Leonard Zietlow of Sleepy Eye, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Leonard; one infant daughter; sisters Elsie Bohn, Helen Pieschke and Alma Johnson; brothers Herman and Alfred.
