Memorial services for Hiram R. Vien, 82, of Holmen, Wisconsin, were held Wednesday, June 29, 1994, 11:00 a.m., at the Lynner Funeral Home in Clarkfield. Interment was at the Clarkfield Lutheran Cemetery. Mr. Vien died Saturday, June 25, 1994, at the Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. He was born January 11, 1912, in Minnesota to Ludvig and Amelia (Ringstad) Vien. Rebecca Holm and he were married December 2, 1936. They lived in Clarkfield until 1943, when they moved to Minneapolis. In 1991, they moved to Holmen. He had been a heavy equipment operator. Survivors include his wife; daughters, Karen (Mrs. Gary) King of Bloomington and Pat (Mrs. Glenn) Thomson of Holmen; son, Michael of Edina; seven grandchilldren; four great grandchildren; sisters, Margaret, Jean, Elmira and Violet; and brother, Leslie.
