Meininger
March 7, 1881 – February 10, 1959
Hiram C. Meininger was born March 7, 1881, in Delavan, Minnesota, later moving to Sherburn, Minnesota, with his parents August Meininger and Mary (Meyer) Meininger. He was the youngest of ten children. His five brothers and four sisters have all preceded him in death. He attended school in Sherburn, Minnesota, and graduated from Business College in Fairmont, Minnesota. He began railroad work with the Milwaukee Road, the the Soo Line, and then station agent with the M. & St. L. starting at Hazel Run, Minnesota, then Belview and later Clarkfield. He married Jennie Inez Jertson October 16, 1910, and they have resided in Clarkfield ever since that time. One daughter was born to them, Mrs. Gail Werring presently residing in Fort Riley, Kansas. Mr. Meininger was a devoted member of the Methodist Church. He was a charter member of the Masonic Lodge for which he recently received his 50-year pin of faithful service. He was also a charter member of the Order of the Eastern Star. "Hiram", as he was best known, passed away February 10, 1959, at the Clarkfield Community Hospital, at the age of 77 years.
