Herman Rikke was born January 3, 1909, to Oscar and Hannah (Gaarder) Rikke at Cottonwood, Minnesota. He was baptized at the Silo Lutheran Church. He worked for several years as a chef at many restaurants in Minneapolis. He died at his apartment in Minneapolis at the age of 68. Mr. Rikke was preceded in death by his parents; one brother Oliver of Montevideo; and one sister Mayme Holstenson of Dawson. He leaves to mourn one brother John of Clarkfield; two half brothers; two half sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
