Henry Edwin Wilson was born November 19, 1891, on a farm northeast of Clarkfield to Hans G. and Elsie (Sorenson) Wilson. On December 10, 1891, he was baptized at Bergen Lutheran Church, where he was later confirmed and remained a lifetime member. Henry farmed with his brother, Selmer, until 1941. After that he worked for about 20 years as an electrician's helper with his brother, Alden, in Wilson Electric. Following his brother's retirement, Henry worked for Swam Electric of Granite Falls for a few years. Except for the past five years at the Clarkfield Care Center, he spent his entire life on the family farm in Lisbon Township where he was born. Henry died on Saturday, September 28, 1991, at the Clarkfield Care Center after a brief illness. He had reached the age of 99 years, 10 months and nine days. He is survived by one nephew, Woodrow Wilson (wife Betty) of Clarkfield; and six nieces, Jean (Mrs. Hank Nicklasson) of Montevideo, Minnesota, Ina Risa of Hazel Run, Minnesota, Avis Monson, Elsie Halvorson and Shirley Allchin, all of Granite Falls, Minnesota, and Beverly (Mrs. John Thompson) of Zephyrhills, Florida; and five special great niece and nephews who grew up beside him. These five, Paul Wilson, Pamela Lynner, Colleen Bott, Carol Longren and James Wilson, Henry considered to be his grandchildren. Henry was the last member of his family. His parents, three brothers, Gerhard, Selmer and Alden, and a sister, Inanda, all preceded him in death.
