Rogge

Henry Rogge was born November 14, 1875, at Chicago, Illinois, the son of Henry and Amalie (Kienath) Rogge. He was baptized in the Lutheran faith on November 28, 1875, by Pastor Rudolph Zinter and was confirmed in 1890. In 1886 he moved with his parents to a farm in Tyro Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. On November 6, 1901, he was united in marriage to Clara Koepp at which time they moved to Clarkfield. Here they lived until his death on September 16, 1954, at the Clarkfield Community Hospital, reaching the age of 78 years, ten months and two days. The couple celebrated their golden wedding in November, 1951. To this union four children were born. Lawrence passed away in infancy. He leaves to mourn his departure his wife; two sons, Elmer of Eugene, Oregon, and Milburn of Boyd, Minnesota; one daughter, Ada (Mrs. Clarence Weeks) of Phoenix, Arizona; eight grandchildren; one brother, Edd T. Rogge of Clarkfield; three sisters: Emma Rogge, Mrs. Martin Schlee, and Mrs. Minnie Biel; and a host of relatives and friends.
