Henry Wilhelm Loose, son of John Loose and Otilie Keinhardt Loose, was born on the 9th day of October, 1879, in Chicago, Illinois. Here at the place of his birth, he was received into the Communion of Saints through the sacrament of Holy Baptism. The sacrament was administered by Pastor H. Engelbrecht. While still a young boy he moved with his parents to Tyro Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. He renewed his baptismal vows when he was confirmed in St. John's Lutheran Church of Omro Township, Yellow Medicine County, on March 29, 1896, by Pastor Jacob Frey. The date of June 4th, 1903, witnessed his marriage to Anna Block of Bellingham, Minnesota. The ceremony was performed by Pastor E.H.C. Mueller of Bellingham. For these many years Mr. Loose was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Tyro Township. In July of the year 1952 he left the farm near the Tyro Church, where he had lived since moving to Minnesota, to reside in the Rest Home in Renville, Minnesota. He departed this life on the 23rd day of May, 1954, in the faith of his risen and ascended Savior, having attained the age of 74 years, seven months and fourteen days. His wife, Anna, preceded him in death, having entered her eternal rest on March 16, 1948. Also preceding him in death are two grandchildren. Near survivors are his seven children, namely: John and Leonard of Boyd, Minnesota, Ida (Mrs. Herman Roske) of Taunton, Minnesota, Clara (Mrs. Eddie Galow) of Boyd, Reuben and Louie of Boyd, Rose (Mrs. Leonard Eggen) of Clarkfield; also four daughters-in-law; three sons-in-law; one brother, Julius of Boyd; eighteen grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
