Henry Frederick Kay was born January 7, 1893, at Storm Lake, Iowa, the son Henry T. and Sophia (Long) Kay. A veteran of World War I, he farmed in southern Minnesota after his discharge. He married Margaret M. Meyer on February 20, 1921. The couple moved to Traverse County in west central Minnesota in 1932 where they farmed for 35 years. They have made their home with their daughter in Berea, Ohio, for the last two years. Mr. Kay was a fifty year member of the American Legion. He passed away March 7, 1972, in Berea, Ohio, at the age of 79 years. Mr. Kay is survived by his wife, Margaret; four daughters: Mrs. Kathryn Arey of Berea, Ohio, Mrs. Beatrice Fullerton of Glenview, Illinois, Mrs. Margaret Brand of Tucson, Arizona,and Mrs. Ruth Sharkey of Hanley Falls; nine grandchildren: one brother, Emil Kay of Okabena, Minnesota; two sisters: Mrs. Matilda Sroka and Mrs. Alvina Meyer, both of Storm Lake, Iowa. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, three brothers and four sisters. IN MEMORY OF HENRY F.
