He left home in 1907 for North Dakota, where he engaged in farming until 1911, when he returned to Boyd. The following years were spent near Boyd, outside of one year spent at Revillo, South Dakota. On December 27, 1916, he was united in marriage to Agnes Sorenson of Clarkfield, and they took residence on a farm in Lisbon Township. To this union eight children were born, of whom seven survive. Mr. Holum passed away Wednesday, June 13, 1951, at the Clarkfield Community Hospital, at the age of 69 years. He is survived by his wife, Agnes; and the following children: Alton, Marvin, Lorna and Lawrence of Boyd, Minnesota, Amy (Mrs. Orville Ostenson) of Dennison, Minnesota, Verna (Mrs. Floyd Pfarr) of Cottonwood, Minnesota, and Hazel (Mrs. William Puffer) of St. Paul, Minnesota. A precious one from us has gone, A voice we loved is stilled, A place is vacant in our home Which never can be filled.
