Obituary

Henry Norman Hermanson was born January 12, 1881, of parents Haaken and Jorgina (Skramstad) Hermanson, on their homestead farm in Ten Mile Lake Township, Lac qui Parle County, Minnesota. He was baptized in the Lutheran faith in infancy and confirmed by Rev. Hoff in Our Saviors Lutheran Church of Baxter Township. He attended school in District 55 and at Windom Institute in Montevideo. On February 12, 1902, he was united in marriage to Dorothea Korstad. To this union six children were born: Helmer, Durven, Melvin, Jorgina, George and Arthur. He lived on the farm on which he was born until he and his wife moved to Boyd in 1951. The latter part of December 1968, he moved to Luther Haven in Montevideo, where he resided until his sudden passing April 3, 1969, at Luther Haven, at the age of 88 years. He was preceded in death by his mother who passed away when Mr. Hermanson was only one and one-half years old; his father who passed away August 29, 1932; his wife Dorothea on March 11, 1961; and his son, Durven on June 30, 1968. He leaves to mourn his passing, four sons and a daughter: Helmer of Fergus Falls, Minnesota, Melvin of Minneapolis, Jorgina (Mrs. Norman Anderson) Seattle, Washington, George of Washington, D.C., and Arthur of Boyd. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and other relatives and a host of friends. IN MEMORY OF Henry N.
