Henry A. Anderson, son of Gustaf and Anna (Tvedt) Anderson, was born September 23, 1892, at Tyro Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. He was baptized and confirmed in the Fridhem Church and continued his membership in the Augustan Lutheran Church. Henry resided in Tyro Township most of his life and farmed on the home place for a number of years and then his own farm until 1954 when he moved to Montevideo, Minnesota. His health had been failing for several years and he passed away at the Montevideo Hospital on April 29, 1965, at the age of 72 years. He suffered a stroke on April 23, 1965. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Hjalmer and an infant sister. Surviving him are four brothers and three sisters: Arthur of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Emil of Washington, D.C., Melvin of Clarkfield, Theodore of Willmar, Minnesota, Emelia (Mrs. Oscar Willander) of Clarkfield, Ellen (Mrs. Ed Abrahamson) of Washington, D.C., and Thilda (Mrs. Wilbur Nelson) of Cottonwood, Minnesota; and many nephews and nieces.
