Helma Wold was born August 12, 1890, at Boyd, Minnesota, to Herman and Martha (Haakenson) Anderson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyd. She was married to Christ Wold April 16, 1909, at Boyd. To this union nine children were born. She lived most of her years in Boyd. She was a resident of the Clarkfield Care Center, Clarkfield, Minnesota, at the time of her death. Helma Wold passed away at the Clarkfield Hospital on September 13, 1982, at the age of 92 years, 1 month and 1 day. She was preceded in death by her husband, five brothers, four sisters and one son-in-law. Survivors include five sons: Harry Wold of Alexandria, Minnesota, Clarence Wold of Marshall, Minnesota, Ralph Wold of Bandon, Oregon, Lester Wold of Lewiston, Idaho, and Norman Wold of Glenwood, Minnesota; four daughters: Mary Saltness of Glenwood, Minnesota, Eunice Kirkeby of Clarkfield; Ruth Bolm of Yakima, Washington, and Ruby Wood of McMinnville, Tennessee; 21 grandchildren; 36 greatgrandchildren; one great great grandchild; nieces and nephews.
