Helma Pauline
(Vold) Hanson
February 14, 1914 – June 13, 1936
Helma Pauline Hanson was born February 14, 1914, to Peter and Hilda Vold of Hazel Run, Minnesota. She was baptized and confimred in the Hazel Run Lutheran Church. On June 13, 1936, she married Alton Hanson of Clarkfield. To this union three daughters were born, Marlene, Virginia, and LaVonne. Helma and Tony lived on the Hanson farm until one year after Tony's death, when she moved into Clarkfield. She lived her entire life in the Clarkfield area. She was employed at the Clarkfield Care Center for 23 years as an Aide. She loved music and enjoyed playing her organ for family and friends. Among her other hobbies were crocheting and embroidery. She left many products of her handy work. On July 30, 1993, she passed away at the Clarkfield Care Center, at the age of 79. She leaves to mourn, her daughters: Marlene and husband, Richard Silver of Starbuck, Minnesota; Virginia and husband, Eldon Swenson of Bloomington, Minnesota; and granchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters: Esther Jacobson of Hazel Run, Minnesota; and Theresa Dyrdahl of Clarkfield Care Center, Clarkfield, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her husband: Alton J.; daughter LaVonne Awes; and three grandchildren: Greg Silver, Jeffrey and Lori Swenson; two brothers: John and Leonard Vold.
