Obituary

Helen Hulda Leppke, 80, died at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on Thursday, February 5, 1987. Services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, February 9, 1987, from the Lynner Funeral Home Chapel of Clarkfield, Minnesota, with Pastor Charles Simmons officiating. Vocal music was by Merrill P. Womack who sang "Abide with Me" and "Amazing Grace". Casket Bearers were Arlen and Erhardt Koepp, Duwayne Lehmann, Roy Lindblad, Everette Nevins and Arnold Walter. Final Resting Place is the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery of Boyd, Minnesota. She was born June 17, 1906, to Theodore and Emma (Kropp) Leppke in Maxwell Township, Lac qui Parle County, Minnesota. She was baptized at St. John's Lutheran Church in Omro Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, by Rev. Ritz. She attended school in District 72. In 1920 she moved with her parents to Boyd. She was confirmed in Boyd by Rev. Vollmers and attended Boyd School. She went to Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she was employed until she retired. She is survived by her sisters, Minnie Voss of Boyd and Louise Nevins of Porter, Minnesota, one niece and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents and brother, Fred.
