Helen R. (Johnson) Stueland January 26, 1921 ~ January 27, 2015 Helen (Johnson) Stueland was born at the home of her parents, Allen and Edith (Broughton) Johnson on January 26, 1921. She passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2015, at Riverside Assisted Living in Granite Falls at the age of 94 years and 1 day. Helen was baptized in 1938 at the Congregational Church in Granite Falls and later confirmed at Bergen Lutheran Church. She was a 1938 graduate of Granite Falls High School and graduated from Augustana School of Nursing in Chicago in 1942. She worked as a private nurse in Chicago prior to her returning to Minnesota. Helen was married to Earl H. Stueland, at the home of her parents, on April 11, 1943. Helen worked as an R.N. in Clarkfield and Granite Falls. Earl and Helen lived on their farm in Stony Run Township for 54 years. They then moved to Granite Falls. Helen moved to Riverside Assisted Living in 2013. Helen was a member of Bergen Lutheran Church where she served as Sunday School superintendent and teacher for many years. She is survived by daughters: Mary Ann (and Art) Behr of Granite Falls, Carol (and Greg) Hamlin of St. Paul, Minnesota, Lorraine (and Michael) Loesch of Cincinnati, Ohio; son, Douglas (and Sandra) of Riverbanks, California; 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl in 2002; her brothers: Ellmond, Clair, Erland and Vern and Lisl Loesch. Blessed be her memory. In Loving Memory of Helen R.
