Helen Wilhelmina (Anderson) Gilbertson was born on May 27, 1909, at Hazel Run, Minnesota, to Martin and Charlotte (Albin) Anderson. She was confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Helen married George Gilbertson of Boyd, Minnesota on October 21, 1930. They lived in Boyd all of their married lives. George died on May 27, 1976. Helen moved to Hanley Falls, Minnesota, in 1984 and in 1995 she entered the Granite Manor, Granite Falls, Minnesota. Helen died August 20, 2002, at the Granite Manor at the age of 93. She is survived by son Richard (and wife Marlys) of St. James, Minnesota; daughter Norma (and husband Roger) Kussatz of LaMoure, North Dakota, and grandchildren: Peter and Rick Gilbertson of St. James, Greg Kussatz of Bismarck, North Dakota; Jeri (and Troy) Alber of LaMoure, North Dakota, and one great grandson Ty Alber of LaMoure; sister Irma Maxner of Granite Falls; and brother Elmer (and Anna) of Clarkfield. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband George; sisters, Esther Hardel, Marion Sheveland and Julie Tonner; and brother Carl Anderson.
