Harvey S. Larson was born June 20, 1909, at Milaca, Minnesota to parents Jacob and Anna (Hendrickson) Larson. He was baptized and confirmed at Chase Brook Lutheran Church of Milaca. He attended Chase Brook School. Harvey married Lilian Johnson on June 9, 1933, at Rake, Iowa. They were the parents of five children: Rachel, Merlin, Harold, Kathleen, and Roseann. Harvey and Lilian moved to Clarkfield, Minnesota, in 1950. He enjoyed farming and in his spare time enjoyed fishing and woodworking. Harvey was a member of the Clarkfield Lutheran Church. Harvey became a resident of Westwood Elderly Care in Granite Falls, Minnesota, in 2002. He passed away at Westwood on Wednesday, May 5, 2004, at the age of 94 years, 10 months, and 15 days. He is survived by his wife Lilian, of 70 plus years; and his children: Rachel (and Wendell) Froland of Montevideo, Minnesota, Merlin (and Carol) Larson of Bloomington, Minnesota, Harold (and Barb) Larson of Clarkfield, Kathleen (and Richard) Hanson of Bloomington, Minnesota, and Roseann (and Bill) Kolb of Annandale, Minnesota. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; and one sister Alvina Stromberg. He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers and seven sisters.
