Harry Gerhardt Jorgenson was born May 18, 1907, on a farm south of Boyd, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, the son of Elias and Helena (Brekke) Jorgenson. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. He spent most of his life in the Boyd community with the exception of several years in Chicago, Illinois. When he returned to Boyd, he made his home with his Mother and they then moved out onto the farm when he went into partnership with hsi brother Oscar and purchased their Mother's farm. There they resided with their sister, Thelma. Later Harry purchased a home in Boyd where he lived until his death. Harry was very fond of music, always ready with his selections on the piano and organ for special occasions. Later he also was a piano tuner. He passed away at his home on Monday evening, October 18, 1982, at the age of 75 years and five months. Harry was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and nine brothers. He is survived by two sisters, Thelma Kise of Boyd and Effie Risa of Clarkfield and numerous nieces and nephews. IN MEMORY OF HARRY G.
