Harry Hanson was born May 25, 1905, to parents Ole and Emma (Brusven) Hanson in Normania Township of Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. He was baptized by Pastor Romestad and confirmed by Pastor Otterstad in St. Lucas Church in Normania Township. On June 6, 1926, he was united in marriage to Jeannette O. Brecke. One daughter, Harriet was born to this union. Mr. Hanson spent his entire life farming in Normania and Swede Prairie Townships. He was clerk of School District No. 67 and on the church board of Swede Home Congregation. Due to ill ealth, he retired from farming and moved to Clkarkfield in November of 1971. Harry passed away at the Clarkfield Hospital on May 4, 1975, at the age of 69 years. Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter and her husband, Irving Anderson; two grandsons: Bruce and his wife Alvina of Mankato, Minnesota, and Brian of St. Olaf College at Northfield, Minnesota; six brothers: Alvin, Winfred, and Arden of Clarkfield, Lloyd and Manley of Granite Falls, Minnesota, and Orland of Boyd, Minnesota; three sisters: Evelyn (Mrs. Albert Krueger) of Boyd, Minnesota, Amy (Mrs. Floyd Christensen) of Clarkfield, and Mary (Mrs. Dan Kruse) of Minneapolis; an uncle, Arnold Brusven and his wife, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
