Harold was a member of the Army Air Corp and served until October 1945 and stationed in the Pacific. Upon his discharge from the service, Harold married Betty Aker on November 24, 1945. He was a toastmaster member of the American Legion and the VFW. Harold's passion was singing. He was an active member of the Monte Chorus, the "Gramp's Quartet", and the Hauge Male Chorus. He served on the AMPI Board and worked with the American Heart Association for several years. Harold and Betty traveled to several countries in connection with NWNL Insurance Company. Harold passed away on Friday evening, October 27, 2006, at the age of 85 years, 1 month, and 15 days.
