Harold Alfred Hill was born at Irene, South Dakota, on December 3, 1908. The son of Louis and Gurine (Hanson) Hill of Russell, Minnesota, he was baptized and confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church at Irene in the Lutheran faith. As a young boy Harold moved with his parents to a farm near Balaton, Minnesota. He farmed with his father until going into business for himself. He also served his country in the Army Air Force, 1942 to 1943 at Mobile, Alabama. For the past 19 years he has made his home in Clarkfield. He was a member of the Clarkfield American Legion. Mr. Hill passed away at the Clarkfield Hospital on May 30, 1975, after a lengthy illness, at the age of 66 years. Survivors include five sisters: Ragna (Mrs. Olaf Toft) of Ruthton, Minnesota, Mrs. Agnes Stratton of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Gertie (Mrs. Robert Potter) of Sioux City, Iowa, Genevieve (Mrs. Carrol Schenck) of Russell, Minnesota, and Bertha (Mrs. Rudolph Arndt) of Lynd, Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and five brothers. IN MEMORY OF HAROLD A.
