Harold Andrew Haroldson was born in Swede Prairie Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, on May 22, 1925 to Carl J. and Emma Paulson Haroldson. Harold was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Swede Home Lutheran Church. He attended Country School District 90 and high school in Clarkfield, Minnesota. Harold served in the U. S. Army from December 13, 1944, to July 17, 1946 and earned the Victory Medal, American Theatre Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Army Commendation Ribbon and two bars for service over seas. On December 18, 1965, Harold married Beverly Ewing Bresson at Swede Home Lutheran Church. To this union two children were born Harold Carl and Lisa Joy. Harold lived on the home place most all his life and farmed the family farm. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and trapping. He was an active member of N.F.O. and Chapter 33 D.A.V. of Marshall, Minnesota. Harold died September 13, 1991, at the age of 66 after years of lung problems. Survivors include Harold's wife, Beverly of Minneota, Minnesota; sons, Harold Carl Haroldson of Minneota, Loren Bresson of Denver, Colorado, Mark Bresson of Hanley Falls, Minnesota, Mike Bresson of Minneapolis, Minnesota, David Bresson of Windom, Minnesota; and daughters, Lisa Haroldson of Marshall, Minnesota, Sherrie Schroeder of Taunton, Minnesota, Susan Mullis of Ogden, Utah, Linda Lewis of Minneota, Minnesota, Laura Haroldson of Minneota, Minnesota; and 15 grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Surviving also are sisters, Helen Hanson and Ethel Culbertson; and brothers, Ragner and Clarence Haroldson. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, sister Agnes and brothers, Walter, Fredolph, Emmitt, and Herbert.
