Hans M. Wilson was born in Columbia County, Wisconsin, July 20, 1880, the son of Halvor and Annie (Tongen) Wilson. He was baptized by Rev. H.A. Preuss. At the age of three, he moved to Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, with his parents. He was confirmed in the old Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church near Hanley Falls, Minnesota, by Rev. J.S. Strand. Mr. Wilson spent all of his life in the Hazel Run community with the exception of about five years on a North Dakota homestead, and nearly three years in Granite Falls, Minnesota. It was at his home in that city that he became ill. He never recovered from a serious operation. Removed to a rest home in Montevideo, Minnesota, he failed gradually until about five weeks ago, when he was taken to the Montevideo hospital. Here he passed away April 15, 1953, at the age of 72 years. Surviving Mr. Wilson are three brothers and three sisters, namely Martha, Hilda and August of Hazel Run, Oscar and Lawrence of Montevideo, and Nettie (Mrs. E.P.
