Obituary

Hans Miller was born in Normania Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, on August 30, 1869, the son of Ole and Mathia (Jacobson) Miller. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a member of St. Lucas Lutheran Church all his life. On June 29, 1895, he married Maria Reishus. The next year they settled in Swede Prairie Township where they built up a farmstead, and continued living there until 1942 when they moved to their present home in Normania. He passed away on August 14, 1956, at his Normania Township home, at the age of 86 years. Hans Miller was preceded in death by his wife who passed away in January, 1944. Daughter, Anna, died in infancy, and son Truman, died in 1918 at the age of 17 years. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Knute Reishus, and five children, namely, Hilda (Mrs. John Nelson) of Lamberton, Minnesota, Alice and Delia, at home, Celia (Mrs. Conrad Mauland) of Cottonwood, Minnesota, and Lestoff of Clarkfield, Minnesota; besides six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
