Hannah Serene Nodshilder was born November 6, 1896, to Hans and Herborg (Swenson) Nodshilder, in Lisbon Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. She was one of a family of eleven. She received her education at the Lisbon Township School and the Red Wing Seminary. She worked two years at Denver, Colorado, and five years at Montevideo, Minnesota, before going to Minneapolis, where she spent the past 25 years. Her death, Wednesday, October 24, 1956, was due to a heart attack. Mourning her passing are two brothers, Ingval of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Johnnie of Clarkfield; sisters: Susie (Mrs. Oscar Ostenso) of Montevideo, Mrs. Thea Berg of Boyd, Minnesota, and Odella (Mrs. Mont Anderson) of Montevideo, Minnesota. Her parents and five brothers preceded her in death, namely, John, Peter, Sampson, Heimer and Selmer Nodshilder. IN MEMORY OF HANNAH S.
