Hannah Christine Hellzen was born in Freindship Township of Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, February 9, 1901, to C.S. and Maren (Peterson) Hellzen. She spent her entire life in this community. Hannah became ill Thursday afternoon and was admitted to the Clarkfield Hospital that evening where she expired early Friday morning. Death was due to a stroke. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Ovidia Larson of Pierre, South Dakota; a brother-in-law Oscar Peterson; nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; two sisters: Mrs. Oscar Peterson and Mrs. Helen Rodseth; and two brothers: Wilhlem and Herbert.
