Hannah Belle Bestland was born May 6, 1887, to Halvor and Kari (Norgaard) Bestland in Wood Lake Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. She grew up in Hanley Falls, Minnesota, moving to Minneapolis, Minnesota, at the age of 17. She worked as a professional seamstress for Harold's Store in Minneapolis until her retirement, twenty years ago. She was a resident of the Crystal Lake Nursing Home in Robinsdale, Minnesota, for the past 11 years and passed away there October 19, 1983. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, Eddie, Norman, Gilbert, Clifford and Marvin; four sisters, Hattie, Clara, Jennie and Winnie. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Grave site services were held Saturday, October 22, 1983, 11:00 a.m. at East Yellow Medicine Lutheran Cemetery, Hanley Falls, Minnesota.
