Gustav Roy Larson was born in Tyro Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, to Charl and Anna Marie (Rodness) Larson. He was baptized and confirmed in Clarkfield Lutheran Church of which he was a lifetime member. In 1943, he was united in marriage by Rev. J.E.H. Akre to LuElla Loken. This union was blessed with one daughter, Kathryn, (Mrs. Dennis Bastyr) of Hopkins, Minnesota. Mr. Larson was employed at the Twin City Ordinance plant during World War II and at Healy Spring Company for 15 years. The past four years, following a coronary attack, he has been unable to work. He became suddenly ill on Monday, September 9, 1963, and was taken to Eitel Hospital in Minneapolis, where he passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 1963, at the age of 58 years. He is survived by his wife, LuElla, his daughter and son-in-law; and four sisters: Mrs. Martha Holum of Portland, Oregon, Mrs. Alma Youngmark of Pasadena, California, Mrs. Hulda Johnson and Mrs. Myrtle Grinde, both of Minneapolis.
