Anderson
October 12, 1874 – March 11, 1949
Funeral services were held last Saturday at 2:00 p.m. from the Full Gospel Tabernacle in Clarkfield for Mr. Gustav M. Anderson, retired farmer from Hanley Falls. Mr. Anderson was born October 12, 1874, in Blue Mounds, Wisconsin. His parents were Mr. and Mrs. Martin and Anna Anderson. When grown to manhood, Mr. Anderson moved onto a farm six miles south of Clarkfield. He was married June 11, 1902, to Sarah Bestland. To this union a son, Lloyd, was born. Mrs. Anderson passed away at the farm home March 11, 1949, and Mr. Anderson moved the same fall to Hanley Falls, where he purchased a home. Having been a well man most of life he took ill the first part of September this year and entered the Abbott Hospital in Minneapolis for surgery September 16, and passed away on September 29. He leaves to mourn, his son; two sisters, Mrs. Ole Velde of Granite Falls, Minnesota, and Mrs. J.I. Fadum of Cook, Minnesota; and a brother, M.M. Anderson of Minneapolis. Also a number of nieces and nephews. Mr. Anderson was known to be a fine Christian man, gentle and kind to all with whom he came in contact. He attended the Full Gospel Tabernacle every Sunday when possible, and was beloved by all. Interment took place in the Clarkfield Village Cemetery, Rev. A.F. Johnson officiating.
