Mr. Gustaf Edvin Johnson was born in Sweden, September 11, 1876, the son of Johana and Augusta (Ryden) Ferdinnanson. In 1889, together with a brother, Alfred, and a sister, Hilda (now Mrs. Peter Vold), he came to Hazel Run to the home of a cousin, Mrs. E.H. Olson. He passed away December 25, 1965, at General Hospital, Minneapolis, at the age of 89 years. Survivors include two daughters: Violet (Mrs. Kenneth Olson) of Granite Falls, Minnesota, and Esther (Mrs. Adam Weidenbach) of St. Louis Park, Minnesota; eight grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and a sister, Hilda, (Mrs. Peter Vold). He was preceded in death by his wife, Gunilla Johnson, and one son, Theodore C. Johnson, who passed away April 25, 1950. IN MEMORY OF GUSTAF E.
