Gulbjor (Gina) Hanserud Lynne was born January 5, 1874, in Lisbon Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, the daughter of Ingebret and Maria (Johnson) Hanserud. She was the last surviving member of seven brothers and sisters and had reached the age of 91 years. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith and confirmed in October of 1888 by Pastor Moen. In January of 1900, she was united in marriage to Andrew Lynne and together they lived in Clarkfield until his death in 1928. To this union, three sons were born: Arden and Clifford of Clarkfield and Melford, who was claimed by death in 1936. Mrs. Lynne was a charter member of the WCTU and a lifelong member of Clarkfield Lutheran Church where she remained active as long as her health permitted. For the past several years, Grandma Lynne has made her home with her sons and although her body was frail, her faith was strong and she enjoyed the fellowship of her family and friends until her passing on February 19, 1965. She was preceded in death by her husband; her son, Melford; grandson, Ralph; three brothers: Ingebret, Edward and John Hanserud and three sisters: Mathilda Melbostad, Belle Youngern and Marie Melbostad. Surviving are her sons, Arden and Clifford, nine grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren. IN MEMORY OF MRS.
