Gretchen Wilma (Feist) Dotseth was born November 14, 1923, at Hazel Run, Minnesota, to parents William and Tillie (Lee) Feist. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She graduated from Clarkfield High School. Gretchen worked as a switchboard operator at the Clarkfield Telephone Office. Gretchen met and married Oscar (Bud) Dotseth. They resided in Clarkfield. Two children were born to this union: Robert (Bobby) and Connie and a foster child, Billy Kruckman. In 1969, Bud and Gretchen moved to Andover, Minnesota where Bud worked as a carpenter for various home builders in the metro area. Gretchen enjoyed children and provided day care for several years. She was active in the Anoka Lutheran Church. Gretchen moved to Farmstead Apartments in Andover, Minnesota in June of 2004. She passed away at Farmstead on Tuesday, November 3, 2009, at the age of 85 years, 11 months and 20 days. She is survived by her children: Bobby Dotseth of Andover, Minnesota, Connie (and Albie) Gilsrud of Austin, Minnesota, and Billy Kruckman of Dawson, Minnesota. She is also survived by brother William `Billy' (Wanda) Feist of St. Cloud and sister Darlene Christopherson of Minneapolis, Minnesota, eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Bud, parents Bill and Tillie Feist, sisters: Lucille and DeLoris Feist, Gloria Olson and brothers: Jimmy and Gerald Feist. Blessed be her memory.
