Obituary

Our Savior Jesus Christ has destroyed death and brought life and immortality to light through the Gospel. Let us remember with thanksgiving what God has done through His servant Greg.

Gregory Allen Koepp was given life by his creator and was born on October 29, 1954, the child of Reuben and Alma (nee Thorsteinson). On December 5, 1954, he was baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. He confessed his baptismal faith in the rite of Confirmation on May 19, 1968, and was admitted to the altar to receive the medicine of immortality, Christ’s life-giving body and blood. On August 28, 1976, Greg received the gift of a beloved companion in his wife, Sandra June (nee Lettau). This holy matrimony of over 49 years was blessed with three children: Joshua (Erica) Koepp, Joel (Markie) Koepp, and Amanda (Dustin) Marlette. This union was further blessed by eight grandchildren: Joel, Elizabeth, Kaitlynn, Alka, Millie, Eli, Olivia, and Zoey.

God blessed Greg’s life with many special people as He served God in his vocations at home, church, work, and in the community. Greg blessed others by passing on his knowledge and wisdom to the next generations. In the church, he worked hard to preserve the faith for both by teaching Sunday School and serving on the Board of Elders for many years. In his vocation at the Cenex convenience store, he sought to pass on being joyful in the Lord through many laughs and smiles. In the community, he sought to pass on a love for hunting and shooting sports of various kinds.

On May 16, 2026, at the age of 71 years, Gregory Allen Koepp was blessed with a holy death and taken in the arms of Jesus to await the resurrection. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.

He is preceded in death by parents, Reuben and Alma, and a brother, Douglas (Butch). He will be missed by many whom God used him to bless; not only by his wife, children, and grand-children, but also his siblings, godchildren, and many nephews and nieces.

The Lord gives and the Lord takes away; blessed be the name of the Lord. We give thanks to God our Father through Jesus Christ, our Lord, for Gregory.
