Grace Gebers was born in Doyon, North Dakota, November 7, 1915, the daughter of John and Oveidia (Amundson) Dahl. She was baptized in Doyon and confirmed in Boyd, Minnesota. On November 22, 1936, she was united in marriage to LaVern Gebers in Boyd. Together they farmed west of Clarkfield, Minnesota, until 1962 when they moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota, to operate a convenience store for the following 16 years; after which they retired and moved to Willmar, Minnesota, where Grace was a member of the Calvary Lutheran Church and the Willmar Senior Citizens. Grace passed away at the Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar on Monday, June 12, 1989, at the age of 73. Surviving Grace are her three daughters, Mary Lee of Bloomington, Minnesota, Loretta Eschen of Clarkfield, and Susan Garman of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and two sisters, Minerva Tweeten of Grand Forks, North Dakota, and Selma Sweggum of Fargo, North Dakota. Grace was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, LaVern in 1986; and son, Robert in 1983.
