Gordon Christopher Raddohl was born on June 16, 1916, to Alfred and Olga (Swenson) Raddohl at Rock Lake, North Dakota. He moved with his parents as an infant to Montevideo, Minnesota. He was baptized into the Lutheran faith by Pastor C. Riston. In 1920, the family moved to a farm near Hazel Run, Minnesota, where he grew to manhood. He was confirmed in Hazel Run by Rev. A. Haugland and attended elementary school in Hazel Run and the Clarkfield High School. In 1944, he was united in marriage to Olive Cloud of Montevideo. Five children were born to this union. He farmed with his father until 1947 when he moved to a farm northeast of Montevideo. In March, 1949, he purchased his farm in Stony Run Township, where he resided at the time of his death. He was treasurer of the school board and president of the Parents Teachers Association in his school district in Stony Run at the time of his death. He passed away suddenly, Friday morning, April 27, 1962, while sitting on his tractor ready to go into the field. He was talking to his wife when stricken with a heart attack at the age of 45 years. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Olive and their children: Patricia Ann, Ramona Gayle, Melinda Lee, Gary Lynn and Judy Rae; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Raddohl; one sister and brother-in-law, Berdella and Vernon Rupp. IN MEMORY OF GORDON C.
