Gladys Helena Just, 77, passed away at the Chippewa County Hospital on Saturday, September 23, 1989. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 26, 1989, at Zion Lutheran Church, Tyro Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, with Rev. Travis J. Schmidt officiating. Organist was Kathy Jahn and special music was provided by Alfred and Veryl Jessen. Serving as pallbearers were Richard and Bradley Christensen, Todd Reese, Brian, Steven, Kevin, Urban and Gerald Just. Final resting place is at Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Tyro Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. Gladys Helena Just was born October 23, 1911, on a farm south of Boyd, Minnesota, to Henry and Martha Skaalen. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at the Trinity Lutheran Church of Boyd. She graduated from school in Boyd, and on July 11, 1937, she was united in marriage to Herbert G. Just. They were engaged in farming until his death in 1969. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Marlys and Kaye Christensen of Hazel Run, Minnesota, and her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Sue Just of Montevideo, Minnesota. Also surviving are five grandsons, Richard Christensen of Maynard, Bradley Christensen of Granite Falls, Brian, Steven and Kevin Just of Montevideo; one granddaughter, Susan Reese of St. Cloud, Minnesota; two great grandchildren, Rein and Larissa Christensen of Maynard, Minnesota; one aunt, Thelma Kise of Boyd and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews.
