Gladys Juliann Edmunds was born June 26, 1907, to parents Hans O. and Thrina (Gunderson) Johnson on their family farm near Hazel Run, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed in the Hazel Run Lutheran Church and remained a dedicated member her entire life. She married Steve C. Edmunds of Clarkfield, Minnesota, on June 25, 1931, at Granite Falls, Minnesota. She spent the majority of her life as a wonderful mother and homemaker. She was active in the Church Circle #3, Hazel Run Homemakers Club and the American Legion Auxiliary. Gladys passed away on Wednesday morning, February 20, 2002, at the Clarkfield Care Center at the age of 94 years, 7 months, and 25 days as a result of congestive heart failure. She is survived by her four children: Marilyn (and Roger) Nelson of Albert Lea, Minnesota; Keith (and Georgia) of Clarkfield; Ron (and Judy) of Sebring, Florida; and Robert (and Sharon) of Lakeville, Minnesota. She is also survived by her sister Hazel Johnson of Clarkfield, ten grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Steve in 1973; five brothers: Eddie, Stewart, John, Guy and Ray Johnson; and sister Thelma Idland. Blessed be her memory.
