Gladys Viola Mikelson was born in Clarkfield, Minnesota, on March 11, 1903, to John and Belle (Brekke) Afdem. She was baptized and confirmed at the Norweigan Lutheran Church in Clarkfield and graduated from the Clarkfield school. On March 11, 1931, she married Arnold Mikelson. They raised a family of four children: Peter, Janice, Gayle, and Donald. Except for eight years living in Minneapolis, Gladys has been a life long resident of Clarkfield living the last two years at the Valhalla Apartments. Survivors are her husband, Arnold, four children, Peter and Donald of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Mrs. John E. (Janice) Gunlogson of Rochester, Minnesota, and Mrs. Harris (Gayle) Osborn of Detroit, Michigan, twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her parents, three brothers: Eddie, Marvin, and Arnold and two sisters: Hilda and Annie. Blessed be her memory. IN MEMORY OF MRS.
