Gertrude Holum was born July 24, 1878, in Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, the daughter of Knute and Ellen (Haugen) Holum. Miss Holum spent her life in Minneapolis where she served as a dress fitter. She passed away August 16, 1965, at Luther Haven, Montevideo, Minnesota, where she had resided for ten months, at the age of 87 years. Among her family survivors is a sister, Bessie (Mrs. Malon Vagle) of Hanley Falls.
