Gertrude L. Sudlow (June 30, 1922 ~ July 3, 2011) Gertrude Louise Sudlow was born June 30, 1922 in Tyler, Minnesota, to parents Rolland and Ruby (McLaird) Habben. She graduated from Balaton High School in 1940. Gert married Walter Larson in November of 1942. They lived in the Florence, Minnesota area. She married Donald Sudlow in August of 1958. They moved to Milroy, Minnesota. Don passed away in 1991. Gert married Harm Heidebrink in 1995. They lived in Clarkfield and in 2008 moved to Granite Falls. In 2009 they moved to Copper Glen in Montevideo. Gert enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, dancing, cards and church circle. She was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church in Clarkfield. She passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2011, at the Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital at the age of 89 years and 3 days. She is survived by her children: David (Kathy) Larson of Faribault, Minnesota, Rich (Sandy) Larson of Mantica, California, Robert (Nancy) Larson of St. James, Minnesota, Arlene (Jim) Marchard of Fargo, North Dakota, Dale Larson of Fergus Falls, Minnesota, James (Colleen) Sudlow of San Jose, California, and Warren Sudlow of Olathe, Kansas. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Ruby and Rolland Habben; brother Rolland; sisters: Daisy, Ruby, and Harriet; grandson Paul; and husbands Donald and Harm. Gertrude was a loving Christian woman who never had a bad word to say about anyone. She was a giving and devoted mother whose children's needs came before her own. She loved to laugh and brought sunshine to any group she was with. She was a precious gift to the lives of her family and her love and kindness will be deeply missed in the family.
