Obituary

Geraldine "Jeri" (Long) Williams, formally of Clarkfield, passed away peacefully at home in Port Hadlock, WA on June 12, 2023, at 91 years of age.

Jeri was born December 4, 1931, in Montevideo, MN to Harry James Weisbrod of Montevideo, MN and Georgia (Nordli) Edmunds of Cottonwood, MN.

Jeri has two half sisters, Carol (Arne) Johnson and Mary (Edmunds) Palma.  She married Arthur William Reed Long in 1947 and had three children: Terry Rae Long-Taylor, Mark Alan (Carol) Long born in MN, and Kim LeAnn (Long) Williams in WA.  Another son, Kevin Lee Williams, was born in WA with Robert Williams.  She married LeeRoy Williams, who had a son from a previous marriage, David Williams, whom she helped to raise.

While living in Seattle, Jeri worked at the post office.  Jeri and LeeRoy moved south of Chimicum, WA on the famous "Egg and I Road" where they built their home and lived happily for many years.  Jeri was very creative and quite handy with tools, making furniture and turned a school bus into an RV.  She made many items from her knitting machine and was a great host. They eventually moved to Port Hadlock to live with her daughter Kim, the remainder of their lives.

Jeri is survived by her two half-sisters; her children; grandsons, Eric Long and Patrick Long; great-grandsons, Samuel Long and Keegan (Skylar) [Long] Martin, and great-great-grandchildren, Motley and Mari Martin; step grandchildren, Matt (Jaime) Roder, Missy (Troy) Hoke and Tony Roder, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Georgia; half-brothers, Lawrence "Whitie" Weisbrod and his twin, Llewellyn Weisbrod in infancy; her husbands, Arthur Reed (Gayle) Long (2001) and  LeeRoy Williams (1995); her granddaughter, Amy Jo Long (Dec 1975); great-grandson, Christopher Reed Long (Jan 2023), and stillborn great-great-grandson, Isaiah James Long.

Jeri is buried at Chimicum City Cemetery, Washington, along with LeeRoy Williams.
