Gerald Randolph Just was born at Clarkfield, Minnesota, on October 12, 1951, to parents Gerald W. and Delia M. (Burroughs) Just. He was baptized on November 21, 1955, and confirmed April 11, 1965, both at Zion Lutheran Church. He graduated as Valedictorian of his class from Clarkfield High School in 1969. He received a BA degree in Sociology at Augsburg College, a BA in Business Administration from St. Cloud State, and MBA from the University of Minnesota, St. Paul Campus. Most recently, Randy helped establish the Internal Audit Department at the Schwan Food Company before taking a position as Vice President of Audit Services at Allina Hospitals and Clinics. He was a member of the National Association of Internal Auditors. His caring attitude made him beloved by his co-workers and employees. In his spare time he enjoyed listening to music, especially "oldies", playing guitar and collecting books and albums. He loved playing golf with his Dad and spending time with his children, Lisa and Patrick, and with his parents and his sister, Judy, often going to coffee houses with her. Randy strove to live his life for God and for others. In 2005 he became a volunteer with Allina Hospice, a service he loved and which always put a smile on his face. Randy passed away at his home on Tuesday, January 31, 2006, at the age of 54 years, 3 months, and 19 days. He is survived by his children Lisa Christine and James Patrick Just, both of Moscow, Idaho; his parents Jerry and Della Just of Clarkfield; and sister Judy Just of Olivia, Minnesota (and special friend Norm Shubert of Danube.) He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a large host of friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. No matter how busy he was, Randy was always there for those who needed him. He is greatly loved and respected by his family and friends and will be sorely missed. Blessed be his memory.
