IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Georgia Lee
(Kelly) Idso
July 9, 1942 – March 25, 1991
Georgia Lee (Kelly) Idso was born on July 9, 1942, in Clarkfield, Minnesota, to John Vernon Kelly and Nettie (Stensrud) Kompelien Kelly. She was baptized at the Cottonwood Presbyterian Church and confirmed at Christ Lutheran Church of Cottonwood, Minnesota. On June 30, 1962, she was united in marriage to Tom Idso of Cottonwood at Christ Lutheran Church. To this union, two children, Jason and Nathan, were born. Georgia passed away on March 25, 1991, at her home in Cottonwood after a lingering illness with cancer, at the age of 48 years, 9 months and 16 days. She felt deep comfort in one of her favorite Bible passages found in John 11:4, 'But when Jesus heard it he said, "This illness is not unto death; it is for the glory of God, so that the Son of God may be glorified by means of it." She had an abundance of love for her family and friends and always had more concern for others than herself. She will be sincerely missed by her family, friends and all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband Tom; sons Jason and Nathan and his fiancee Lynette Koble; three half sisters, Virginia Isaackson and husband Robert of Cottonwood, Enid (Kelly) Sechrist of Arizona, and Marian (Kelly) Leydon of Florida; two half brothers, Raymond Kompelien and wife Mayme of Granite Falls and Keith Kelly of Iowa. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Christine (Idso) Okrina of Cottonwood; brother-in-law, David Idso and wife Maggie of Alexandria, Minnesota; uncles Carl, and Marvin Stensrud; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a multitude of friends. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, three half sisters, Vivian (Kelly) Koelz, Helen Kelly and Delma (Kelly) Steele. She was also preceded in death by her stepfather Albert Pesek.
