George M. Lee was born February 22, 1907, to parents Mathias J. and Jertina (Jacobson) Lee in Friendship Township, Clarkfield, Minnesota. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. He received his education in country school and Clarkfield Public School. George has been a patient and worker at the Willmar Regional Treatment Center, Willmar, Minnesota and received a 20 year Certificate of Achievement. December 30, 1987, he entered the Glenwood Retirement Home and passed away September 24, 1992 at the age of 85. He is survived by three sisters, Mattie Anderson of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Clara Afdem of Clarkfield, Minnesota, Thea Kopitzke of Willmar, Minnesota; Numerous nieces and nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, James, Carl, Reuben, Alfred, Bernt; and three sisters, Mabel, Thilda and Sophia.
