George B. Johnson, the son of Gabriel and Sophie (Mikelson) Johnson was born at Granite Falls, Minnesota, on September, 25, 1895. He was baptized at the United Lutheran Church on October 25, 1896, by Rev. H.O. Fjelstad. On November 25, 1926, he was united in marriage to Mable Gautefall of Hazel Run, by Rev. O.E. Erickson. The union was blessed with three children: Waldemar, Irma (now Mrs. Leland Schulte) and Burdell, all of the Granite Falls area, who survive him. Mr. Johnson passed away at the Granite Falls Hospital February 2, 1969, at 12:55 p.m., at the age of 73 years. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: Melvin of Jasper, Sylvin, his twin brother, Clara (Mrs. Frank Syring) of Granite Falls, Arnold of Wegdahl, Arthur of Clarkfield, Otto of Hazel Run, Esther (Mrs. Norval Peterson) of Sioux Rapids, Iowa, and Alfred of Echo.
