Fritz Richter was born August 12, 1901, in King County, Seattle, Washington, the son of Franz and Gertrude (Paige) Richter. After completing his education, he became sales representative for his father's firm, the Richter Rubber Company. On January 19, 1942, he was united in marriage to Leona T. Myhre by Rev. Weaver at the University Methodist Church at Seattle. The couple resided at Three Tree Point for four years and in 1946 moved to Clarkfield with their two children. He worked for the Clarkfield Hatchery and the Soil Conservation Service. On Thursday, October 31, 1968, he passed away at the Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital at the age of 67 years. He is survived by his wife, Leona; son, Franz; daughter, Betty; two sisters, Mrs. Gordon Tongue and Mrs. Frances Joslyn, both of Seattle.
